The delivery was conducted by the TLPDP investigation advisor, Detective Sergeant Mark Dalton, and the equipment was received by the national director of the PCIC, Vicente Fernandes e Brito. The new technological means aim to strengthen the capacity for criminal investigation, with a special focus on preventing and combating cybercrime, in addition to optimizing the collection of evidence, allowing investigators to analyze electronic devices more quickly and securely directly at the scene of the crime. The institution also underlines the objective of continuing to modernize its technical and scientific resources, in the face of the evolution of digital threats at a global level. PCIC thanks TLPDP for its continued support and trust, considering the donation a significant step to prepare Timor-Leste for the challenges of technological crime and to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
