Organisational Chart
PCIC is headquartered in Díli and has jurisdiction throughout the national territory, including the Special Administrative Region of Oécussi Ambeno (RAEOA), the island of Ataúro, and the islet of Jaco.
The internal structure follows a hierarchical model headed by the National Director, appointed by order of the Prime Minister on the proposal of the Minister of Justice, and by the Deputy Director, appointed by the Minister of Justice on the proposal of the National Director.
The organic units are divided into two groups. The criminal-investigation support units comprise the Central Criminal Investigation Department (DCIC), the INTERPOL Department (DI), the Scientific Police Laboratory (LPC), and the Armament and Security Department (DAS). The support units comprise the Support Department (DA), the Legal Counsel and Public Relations Department (DAJRP), and the Inspection and Discipline Office (GID).
The institution has 119 staff in total, of whom 87 are men and 32 are women.
